The people God has surrounded me with are those that have played a crucial role in my life. They’re family, friends and anyone around me.
Proper identity comes from the blessing of our heavenly Father speaking to us through the people He has assigned to give oversight to us.
We normally under look our family, friends and especially the people we stay with and by we, I mean even I. We think that the people who will develop or inspire us are outside the home we live in yet it’s not actually true.
Unfortunately, at work we carry a similar attitude that our workmates don’t get us. We think that the situation would be better if we had different colleagues and therefore, we end up missing the positive outcomes of people around us.
We are so oblivious, that we don’t think the people around us have been predestined by God to be in our lives. We need them at that particular season of life and they need us too.
We all know the saying, ‘no man is an island’. We quote it, sing it and joke about it but do we believe we cannot exist without each other?
Do we live with the awareness that we need the person next to us and they need us too? Or, are we aware that we were meant to speak into each other’s lives?
Do we know we can lift each other up and have the power to drive one another into our God’s given destiny? That working hand in hand with the Lord can bring the heavens down?
There is an enemy, the devil, who is so against this relationship. The bible calls him the accuser of the brethren. He does not only accuse us to God, but to each other.
The devil and his servants are constantly trying to accuse us against each other.
The truth; God predestined the people around me so He can use them to impart the truth of who I am and to also use me as a voice in their lives.
Realising this truth has set me free. I now view people around me and deal with disputes differently. Take that next step and realise this truth too, as it will help usher in change in your life and the same time keep the dark craws of depression at bay.
